If this is true, Google is going to be the music business.
Keep in mind, we can only guess at how much of ”Search” Google actually owns. Controlling how people find and purchase their music is much more important than how they play it. Apple proved this during the building of the iTunes/iPod/Apple TV/iPhone platform.
Apple created the perfect storm.
iTunes is the Trojan Horse that allowed Apple to burrow its way into the heart of the Microsoft powered PC. Once inside, Apple controlled the way the user interacted with mobile music, podcasts, video, photos, mail, internet and just about anything else you could program into a mobile device.
