Gucci as a brand.

Gucci’s new chief executive officer, Patrizio di Marco has announced his great Brand Strategy for the Italian brand’s survival.

“To balance contemporary fashion with the Gucci tradition, emphasizing craftsmanship and quality.”

Patrizio’s claim to fame is turning Bottega Veneta into a profitable monster of luxury leather feel good consumerism.

Luxury became blurred as Hermes and Coach, became more mainstream and attainable by the middle class.

“Leadership to me is execution with people and through people,” di Marco said. “It took vision to seek clarity on who you are as a brand and being brave enough to stick to the long-term view and go against the trends despite the economic environment.”

Or, change your clientele by raising your prices.
